Lighting Designer

Verity Hampson is a lighting and projection designer for theatre, dance, opera, film and television. Since graduating from NIDA, Verity has forged a formidable career, designing over 130 productions including multiple award-winning productions.

For opera Verity’s work includes: Fly Away Peter and In The Penal Colony (Sydney Chamber Opera); Orpheus and Eurydice at the Art Gallery of NSW (Spectrum Now Festival); Daisy Bates At Ooldea, Orfeo Ed Euridice, King Arthur (Sydney Conservatorium); Sopranos, The Show Girls Of Opera (Cre8ion).  

For television, Verity was lighting director for the ABC’s Live at the Basement and The Roast; and The Crown Prince Awards for SBS. 

Verity is a recipient of the Mike Walsh Fellowship; three Sydney Theatre Awards; a Green Room Award; and an APDG Award for Best Lighting Design.
